About Sobeit Great Danes

Hello, my  name is Barb Breuer and welcome to Sobeit Great Danes (pronounced So-Be-It). We are located in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. Our home is a busy one, but for myself, my husband Roman, my daughter Maya and our four Great Danes Fabio, Jersey, Frankie and Cobe and our French Bulldog, Sebastion, we make it work.

At eight years of age, I saw my first Great Dane. It was the most magnificent creature that I had ever seen. Thirty-seven years later, I still feel the same way.

As a child, I tortured my parents until, at the age of ten, I received my first Great Dane. By the time I was eighteen years old, I had put Championships on four different Great Danes. I then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, and despite my love for the breed, I was not set up for breeding. For over fifteen years I didn't have a Dane in my life, but that didn't stop me from studying their conformational structure and pedigrees. Along the way I was very lucky to have some very knowledgeable mentors.

I was able to co-breed my first litter in 2015 alongside an already well established breeder. In 2016 I registered my own kennel name and will be starting my breeding venture on my own. We are proud to say that our first homebred litter was born in 2019 and we look forward to the future.
